Humans are designed to stand erect on two feet. “Human posture is commonly understood as the relationship between human body parts in the upright position” This presentation will define what good posture is and demonstrate quick, easy and effective ways to improve it. Find out how improving your posture can contribute to better range of motion, pain management and even changes in mood and self-perception.
Faculty Bio:
Terri Lees
Teresa Lees, commonly known as Terri, is a certified and licensed massage therapist with her own practice in Wichita, Kansas. Her career in education and coaching began as a high school physical educator and evolved into teaching Red Cross Water Safety and Aquatic Exercise classes as an Aquatic Director and Supervisor.
Terri has collaborated with the National Red Cross in writing "Learn to Swim" and lifeguarding materials and has served as a volunteer on a National Red Cross subcommittee. In 2014, she trained at the Wellspring School of Allied Health in Kansas City, Missouri, and subsequently established her practice, working with chiropractors as a subcontractor in Wichita, Kansas.
Recently, Terri has been writing and presenting material on self-care and survival in the therapy industry. She is excited to announce that she is a co-founder of the Kansas School of Therapeutic Massage.
In addition to her work in massage therapy, Terri has published two books in the field of aquatics and has authored three continuing education workshops for the National Board Certification for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). She also holds a certification in Equine Massage Therapy.
Terri enjoys visiting family members, playing the piano, and learning to ride on horseback. She resides in Bel Aire, Kansas, with her husband.

Requirements:
- Define and distinguish between LDL (low-density lipoprotein), HDL (high-density lipoprotein), and triglycerides.
- Understand the health risks associated with high cholesterol and why cholesterol management is vital.
- Identify common dietary and lifestyle factors that influence cholesterol levels.
- Recognize misleading “fad” diets or cholesterol myths and understand evidence-based approaches to nutrition.
- Apply simple, personalized nutrition hacks to support heart health and cholesterol balance.

Set aside regular time to engage with course materials, complete activities, and reach out to peers for collaborative exercises to get the most out of this workshop.
