Full Description:
This course will familiarize the learner with some of the more difficult domains that are found on the Veterinary Technician National Licensure Examination (VTNE), including Anesthesia & Pain Management, Pharmacology, Dentistry, and Laboratory Procedures. This course will also allow students to gain a further understanding of best practices on multiple choice assessments, how to use critical thinking and develop more concrete studying skills in order to pass the VTNE. Students will complete assessments in each domain at their own pace as they build a personal study bank for continued practice.

Faculty Biography:

Amanda Hackerott

Amanda Hackerott is a Registered Veterinary Technician and Program Director of the Veterinary Nursing program. Her background is primarily in emergency medicine and shelter medicine (about ten years combined). She has been teaching for the last ten years in vet tech education and enjoys training the future of veterinary nursing. Her favorites subjects in Veterinary Nursing are Anatomy & Physiology, Parasitology and Hematology. Amanda has a daughter, a cat, two frogs and a Chorkie. She enjoys reading nonfiction and loves musicals :)
