Full Description:
This 1-hour session is designed to empower bedside nurses in both acute and long-term care environments with foundational knowledge of emerging trends in AI in healthcare. As AI tools become increasingly integrated into daily clinical workflows, nurses play a critical role in interpreting data, making evidence-informed decisions, and enhancing patient outcomes. We will explore how AI is improving early detection of patient deterioration, streamlining documentation, optimizing staffing, and personalizing care plans.

 Faculty Bio:
Tessa Brock MSN, RN
Tessa is an accomplished Registered Nurse with over 12 years of hands-on clinical experience at the bedside and advanced expertise in nursing informatics. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Tabor College, where she combined her passion for patient care with innovative technology solutions to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes.

Throughout her career, Tessa has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in diverse healthcare environments, including post-acute care, medical-surgical, home health and hospice, skilled and rehab nursing, and psychiatric nursing. Her clinical expertise is complemented by a deep understanding of electronic health records implementation, data management, workflow optimization, and clinical decision support systems.

Dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth, Tessa remains committed to advancing nursing practice through evidence-based informatics solutions and fostering innovation in patient-centered care.
