Full Description:
This course provides marketing and communication professionals with the information and practical skills needed to implement accessibility guidelines on their website and social media channels. Participants will gain information and practical steps to improve online accessibility (websites, social media and other digital communications) for people with disabilities.
Students will have 4 weeks or 1 month to complete this training. There are 4 lessons total with a knowledge check & badging opportunity at the end of each module. There will be a live Q&A session with a technical expert at the end of this training.
Faculty Bio:
Stephanie Kohlhoff
Stephanie Kohlhoff is a multimedia marketing professional with experience spanning television, government, libraries, political campaigns, and digital advertising agencies. She is Faculty Chair of the Digital Marketing Program at WSU Tech where she instructs Wichita's next generation of emerging marketers in content, strategy, production and community engagement.
Stephanie’s work in broadcasting has earned recognition from the CBS Network, the Kansas Association of Broadcasters, and the Indiana Association of Broadcasters for excellence in production and messaging.
A component of Stephanie’s work has been on digital accessibility. She serves on the board of the Accessibility Summer Camp, a virtual conference that brings together industry professionals and educators for making digital content more accessible to students, customers, and the broader community.
